  • The Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999: This act is a sui generis Act of the Parliament of India for the protection of geographical indications in India.
  • The Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design Act, 2000: This act aims to protect Intellectual Property Right (IPR) in the area of Semiconductor Integrated Circuit Layout Designs and for matters connected in addition to that or incidental to it.
  • The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Right Act, 2001: This act is the establishment of an effective system for protection of plant varieties, the rights of farmers and plant breeders.
  • The Information Technology Act, 2000: The Information Technology Act, 2000 is an Act of the Indian Parliament notified on 17 October 2000. It is the primary law in India dealing with cybercrime and electronic commerce
